For the Alpin Royal Casino, a pleasant atmosphere and the well-being of all guests are of central importance. In this sense, it is important to us to handle your personal data with care and thus ensure that we process, store and, where applicable, pass on your data only within the framework of applicable legal regulations, or to fulfil our legal and regulatory requirements.

 

We advise that Alpin Royal AG is legally obliged to collect, store and process various personal data. Refusal to provide this data upon initial entry will result in denial of admission to our casino. Further data may be requested on a case-by-case basis (see also point 2) – depending on the circumstances, refusal to provide such data may result in a ban from playing, accompanied where applicable by a suspicious transaction report to the competent Liechtenstein authorities.

1. Purpose of processing

Personal data is processed exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations, in particular under the Liechtenstein Gambling Act (GSG), the Gambling Ordinance (SPBV), the Due Diligence Act (SPG) and the Due Diligence Ordinance (SPV), with the exception of information collected in specific cases (e.g. events, prize draws or similar). The data collected, stored and processed serves to identify the guest upon entry to the Alpin Royal Casino and is used to prevent the potential socially harmful effects of gambling as well as to combat money laundering, organised crime and terrorist financing.

2. Processed data

During the initial visit, the following data is collected from every guest, stored and subsequently processed:

Home address
Postcode and town
State of residence
Nationality


Document number of the submitted identification document (official ID)

Should further investigations be necessary, we are obliged to collect, store and process additional data. This applies in particular in the event of anomalies regarding transactions carried out or indications of potentially problematic gambling behaviour. Below you will find examples of additional data collected by us in such cases. We explicitly point out that the list is not exhaustive and that the additional data is collected and processed in each case for the precise assessment of transactions and/or gambling behaviour.

Exemplary list of additional data:

  • Origin, structure and size of your wealth
  • Origin of the funds used for the game
  • Your family / private situation
  • Your professional occupation
  • Number of visits to the Alpin Royal Casino
  • The stakes made, and where applicable, turnover and payouts
  • Monthly visiting limits in the event of a visitation agreement
  • In the specific case: the type, scope and reason for the gaming ban or barring order, as well as its start and end. In addition, all data collected to substantiate the decision for or against the imposition of a gaming ban will be stored for the duration of the gaming ban and after its lifting. If a gaming ban is lifted, the reasons for the lifting, notes from discussions and any documents submitted will be stored.

 

3. Duration of data retention

The duration of data retention is based on legal requirements. The storage period for data collected in connection with obligations under the Due Diligence Act (SPG) or the Due Diligence Ordinance (SPV) is 10 years. Data in connection with gaming bans or restrictions (visit agreement) must be retained for a further 5 years after they have been lifted. Special statutory periods and, where applicable, official orders remain reserved.

4. Right of access

You have the right at any time to obtain information about your personal data stored and processed by Alpin Royal Casino, provided that the provision of information does not conflict with special statutory regulations. 5. Right to rectification and erasure

Should you discover that the personal data stored and processed by us about you is incorrect, you have the right to have this corrected. Please send a corresponding written request to the addresses mentioned in point 4 or submit the request directly to the HR department.

Furthermore, you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data held by us. Provided that there are no statutory retention or documentation obligations preventing this, or that the processing is not necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, we will be happy to comply with your request. Please submit a written request to this effect to the addresses listed in point 4 or hand it to a member of staff.

6. Right to restriction the processing

You have the right at any time to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, provided there are no legal obligations to the contrary or the processing is not necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Please submit a corresponding request in writing to the addresses listed under point 4 or hand it over to the staff.

7. Right to object

You have the right at any time to object to the processing of personal data concerning you, provided that there are no statutory obligations to the contrary or the processing does not serve the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. 8. Automated Decisions

At Alpin Royal Casino, no automated decisions are made.

9. Right to lodge a complaint with to a regulatory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Liechtenstein Data Protection Office as the supervisory authority at any time, if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you is unlawful.

10. Disclosure of data to third parties

Your personal data will be used only within Alpin Royal AG. Your data will only be passed on to third parties if this is legally necessary or if you consent to the disclosure. Third parties in the sense described are in particular the state supervisory authorities, the auditing body and our partners in connection with the fulfilment of legal regulations in the areas of social protection and due diligence. Contractual agreements ensuring confidentiality exist with all mentioned bodies.

Please note that we are also required to make barring orders and visiting arrangements available without delay to all other domestic casinos via a corresponding database.
